Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers common fractions decimals and compute percentages
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of food service or customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively timely and courteously with patients nursing and family members when obtaining meal choices
  • Enter meal selections orders preferences and special requests accurately into the CBORD Room Service tablet system
  • Deliver and collect patient trays snacks and tube feeding products
  • Verify patient satisfaction and identify meal service problems
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work environment including monitoring and stocking floor supplies
  • Communicate with dietitian or dietetic technician about patients food beverage and supplement intake
  • Assist patients on missed meal report for menu selections
