Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and compute percentages
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of food service or customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform repetitive motions
  • Effective verbal communication abilities
  • Willingness to maintain a clean, sanitary work environment
  • Ability to respond quickly to identify and eliminate safety hazards

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of previous food service or customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Experience with CBORD preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Job Duties

  • Communicating effectively, timely and courteously with patients, nursing, and family members when obtaining meal choices
  • Entering meal selections into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
  • Verifying patient satisfaction with meal services
  • Identifying and assisting with meal service problems and missed meal reports
  • Communicating with dietitians or dietetic technicians regarding poor patient intake
  • Reporting patient special requests for foods not allowed on their diets
  • Maintaining accurate and current meal order information in CBORD
  • Delivering patient nourishments, snacks, and tube feeding products
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work environment
  • Monitoring and filling floor stock according to pars
  • Checking refrigerators and dry storage areas for cleanliness and discarding out-of-date products
  • Identifying and eliminating safety hazards
  • Performing duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
  • Working well in a team environment
