Job Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate in the English language
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals and the ability to compute percentages
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic computer skills
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience required
- Mostly standing walking with other movement such as repetitive motions reaching pulling and pushing may be required
- Speech sight and hearing to effectively communicate by varied means including but not limited to telephone in person and fax
- Physical ability to lift to 35 lbs
- Exposure to patient environment

Job Duties
- Communicate effectively, timely and courteously with patients nursing and family members when obtaining meal choices to enter into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
- Verify patient satisfaction and identify meal service problems
- Assist patients on missed meal report for menu selections each meal
- Communicate with the dietitian or dietetic technician when patient food beverage supplement intake is poor
- Communicate patients special requests for food not allowed on their diets or diet education
- Accurately enter and update all meal selections orders preferences special request for food in CBORD system maintaining the most current information regarding patient diet orders
- Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and perform cleaning waste disposal and equipment operation duties according to departmental policies including monitoring rotating and filling floor stock
- Identify safety hazards in the department and react to eliminate hazards quickly
- Deliver all patient nourishments snacks and tube feeding products
- Work well in a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- May be required to perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
