Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals and to compute percentages
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to lift to 35 lbs
  • Speech sight and hearing to effectively communicate
  • Exposure to patient environment
  • Ability to work standing and walking with repetitive motions such as reaching pulling and pushing

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • CBORD experience preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide and compute percentages

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively timely and courteously with patients nursing and family members when obtaining meal choices to enter into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
  • Verify patient satisfaction and identify meal service problems
  • Assist patients on missed meal reports for menu selections each meal
  • Communicate with dietitian or dietetic technician when patient food beverage supplement intake is poor
  • Accurately enter and update all meal selections orders preferences special requests for food in CBORD system
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and perform cleaning and waste disposal duties
  • Deliver all patient nourishments snacks and tube feeding products
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • May perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
