Job Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate in the English language
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and the ability to compute percentages
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic computer skills
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk and perform repetitive motions, reach, pull and push
- Effective communication skills using speech, sight and hearing
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of previous food service or customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to compute basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
Job Duties
- Communicating effectively, timely and courteously with patients, nursing and family members when obtaining meal choices to enter into CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
- Verifying patient satisfaction and identifying meal service problems
- Assisting patients on missed meal report for menu selections each meal
- Communicating with dietitian or dietetic technician when patient food/beverage/supplement intake is poor
- Communicating patients special requests for food not allowed on their diets or diet education
- Accurately entering and updating all meal selections/orders/preferences/special requests for food in CBORD system
- Maintaining clean and sanitary work environment and performing cleaning and waste disposal duties in accordance with departmental policies
- Delivering all patient nourishments, snacks and tube feeding products
- Working well in a team environment
- Performing other duties as assigned
- May perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
