Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience required
  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computing percentages
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to effectively communicate by speech, sight, and hearing
  • Willingness to work full time in the Providence, Rhode Island location

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively, timely and courteously with patients, family members, and staff when distributing menus
  • Obtain meal choices and enter orders into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
  • Verify patient satisfaction and assist patients with missed meal reports
  • Communicate with dietitian or dietetic technician regarding poor patient intake
  • Relay patients special requests and diet education information
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work environment including waste disposal and equipment operation
  • Deliver patient nourishments, snacks, and tube feeding products
  • Identify and eliminate safety hazards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • May perform duties of Room Service Call Representative as needed
