Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience required
- Ability to read and communicate in the English language
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computing percentages
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to effectively communicate by speech, sight, and hearing
- Willingness to work full time in the Providence, Rhode Island location
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages
Job Duties
- Communicate effectively, timely and courteously with patients, family members, and staff when distributing menus
- Obtain meal choices and enter orders into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
- Verify patient satisfaction and assist patients with missed meal reports
- Communicate with dietitian or dietetic technician regarding poor patient intake
- Relay patients special requests and diet education information
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work environment including waste disposal and equipment operation
- Deliver patient nourishments, snacks, and tube feeding products
- Identify and eliminate safety hazards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- May perform duties of Room Service Call Representative as needed
