Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience in a food service or room service role within a hotel or quality food service environment
  • Knowledge of food service standards and quality control
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Capacity to lift and carry trays weighing over 35 pounds
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Adherence to hotel uniform and grooming standards

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One plus years experience as Food Service /Room Service Attendant in quality food service/hotel operation
  • Thorough knowledge of quality food service techniques and standards
  • Exceptional guest service attitude and abilities
  • Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighting 35 plus pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepares silver, room service trays, coffee etc. at start of and throughout shift, as required
  • Presets trays and carts as required throughout shift
  • Prepares each tray for specific order requirements
  • Checks all Room Service Orders for accuracy and completeness prior to departing kitchen
  • Delivers Room Service Orders to guestroom in a timely manner
  • Sets up and serves order in guest room according to guest preference and Loews Hotels Standards in a polite professional manner
  • Obtains proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered
  • Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Picks up soiled Room Service trays and carts from guestrooms and corridors as needed
  • Cleans and maintains Room Service area and equipment
  • Delivers amenities to guestrooms
