As an employer, The Phoenician is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where every team member's unique background and talents are valued and celebrated. They uphold principles of equal opportunity and non-discrimination, creating a workplace that is welcoming to all, including individuals with disabilities and veterans. Working at The Phoenician means joining a globally recognized brand dedicated to personal and professional growth, where employees have the opportunity to engage with world-class hospitality standards while contributing to exceptional guest experiences.
The role of In-Room Dining Cashier, evening shifts, is a key position within the Food and Beverage and Culinary department of The Phoenician. This part-time, non-management role requires a dependable individual who is responsible for handling all payment transactions related to in-room dining services. The role includes processing various payment methods while complying with strict accounting procedures and property control audit standards, such as blind drops and cash handling protocols. The Cashier is entrusted with obtaining and managing the assigned cash bank, ensuring that it aligns with the expected business volume. This involves preparing the cash bank with adequate change, securely transporting it to and from the workstation, and maintaining an organized and clean cashier area equipped with necessary supplies and forms.
Additional responsibilities encompass performing opening duties to ensure operational readiness, accurately reconciling the cash bank at the end of each shift, completing designated cashier reports, and promptly resolving any discrepancies. The In-Room Dining Cashier also plays an integral part in upholding the safety and security policies of the resort, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information. The position requires excellent communication skills to professionally greet guests, address service needs with genuine appreciation, and operate telephones with appropriate etiquette. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and performing light lifting and moving of objects up to ten pounds. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment, supporting colleagues to meet common goals while ensuring adherence to quality standards and delivering a seamless guest experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a luxury resort recognized for its outstanding service and commitment to excellence, making it an excellent choice for individuals seeking part-time employment in a dynamic hospitality setting.
