Job Requirements

High school education or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to perform multiple tasks under time constraints and interruptions
Basic knowledge of unit weights, measures and basic mathematics
Preferred prior experience in patient care

Job Duties

Delivers patient trays including meals, snacks, and NOW trays
Assists patients with food tray positioning and menu selections
Loads and pushes hot and cold food carts to and from patient units
Completes menu rounds documenting patient menu choices and addressing dietary restrictions
Retrieves patient trays and maintains cleanliness and restocking of carts
Operates cart lifts, dumbwaiters and elevators to transport food service equipment
Communicates patient special requests and concerns between patients, nursing staff, and food service management
