The position available at The Westin Peachtree Plaza is a full-time, non-management role within the Housekeeping and Laundry Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of guest rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe, inviting, and pristine environment throughout the hotel. Duties involve inspecting rooms after housekeepers have completed their tasks, accurately updating cleaning status sheets, and completing the required paperwork related to the department’s functions. The role requires responding promptly to guest requests and collaborating effectively with other hotel departments. A key aspect of this role is assisting management with the recruitment, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, discipline, and motivation of housekeeping staff, setting a high standard of excellence by leading through example.

Maintaining a professional appearance and upholding the confidentiality of company information are critical components of this position. Physical demands are integral, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting, sometimes up to 55 pounds with or without assistance. Job Requirements
- Título de estudios secundarios o certificado equivalente de un programa de Desarrollo de Educación General (GED)
- Al menos 1 año de experiencia laboral afín
- Capacidad para ingresar el estado de las habitaciones limpias en las hojas de asignación
- Habilidad para completar las listas de control e informar el estado de cada área asignada
- Competencia para completar papeleo requerido por el Departamento de Limpieza
- Capacidad para identificar las asignaciones de las habitaciones y la clase de limpieza requerida
- Habilidad para inspeccionar habitaciones luego de la limpieza
- Capacidad para responder rápidamente a solicitudes de huéspedes y de otros departamentos
- Capacidad para asistir a la gerencia con contratación, capacitación, programación, evaluación, asesoramiento, disciplina, motivación y entrenamiento
- Adherencia a políticas y procedimientos de seguridad
- Mantenimiento de apariencia profesional
- Respeto por la privacidad y protección de la información y bienes de la empresa
- Capacidad física para realizar tareas que requieren movimientos repetitivos, levantar objetos hasta 55 libras, y desplazarse en diferentes tipos de superficies
Job Qualifications
- Título de estudios secundarios o certificado equivalente de un programa de Desarrollo de Educación General (GED)
- Al menos 1 año de experiencia laboral afín
- No se requiere experiencia como supervisor
- Ninguna licencia o certificación requerida
Job Duties
- Ingresar el estado de las habitaciones limpias en las hojas de asignación
- Completar las listas de control para informar la limpieza y el estado de cada área asignada
- Completar el papeleo requerido por el Departamento de Limpieza
- Identificar las asignaciones de las habitaciones y la clase de limpieza que se requiere para cada una
- Inspeccionar las habitaciones de los huéspedes luego de que sean limpiadas por la mucama
- Atender rápidamente las solicitudes por parte de los huéspedes y de otros departamentos
- Asistir a la gerencia en la contratación, capacitación, programación, evaluación, asesoramiento, disciplina, motivación y entrenamiento de los empleados
