The role of Room Attendant at HHM Hotels is a pivotal position within the housekeeping department, tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms to ensure they meet the company’s high standards. Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning guest rooms by performing a variety of duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and dusting furniture and fixtures. Additionally, they manage the replacement of bed linens, towels, and amenities to guarantee that rooms are comfortable and fully equipped.

This position requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to maintenance by reporting any repairs needed, and an adherence to safety standards including the use of personal protective equipment and compliance with OSHA requirements. Room Attendants may also take on additional responsibilities during peak periods such as assisting with lobby duties or house person tasks, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift up to 20 pounds, and use cleaning chemicals safely
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred

  • Knowledge of safe work habits and use of protective safety equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests upon interaction with a warm and friendly greeting
  • Clean guest rooms according to standards within the allotted time frame by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Dust furniture, walls or equipment
  • Notify managers concerning the need for repairs in guest rooms
  • Process guest items left in rooms according to lost and found policy
