The Room Attendant position at HHM Hotels plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appeal of guest rooms to ensure that they meet the hotel’s high standards. This role is essential for creating a comfortable and hygienic environment that enhances guest satisfaction. As a Room Attendant, your primary responsibilities include cleaning and servicing guest rooms by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, changing bed linens, replacing towels, dusting and polishing furniture, and ensuring that all amenities are well-stocked. You will also be expected to report any maintenance issues to management promptly. The position requires adherence to safety standards such as wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
Room Attendants at HHM Hotels are expected to greet guests warmly upon interaction, further contributing to a welcoming hotel atmosphere. In periods of high demand or staff shortages, you may also be called upon to perform house person and lobby attendant duties. Job Duties
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting
- clean guest rooms according to standards within the allotted timeframe by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities
- clean and polish furniture and fixtures and dust furniture, walls or equipment
- notify managers concerning the need for repairs in guest rooms
- process guest items left in rooms according to lost and found policy
- practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods
- be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
- perform other duties as requested by management
