The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to ensure they meet the hotel's established standards. This role is part-time, providing flexibility for those seeking employment while balancing other commitments. The position is suited for individuals who take pride in maintaining cleanliness and delivering excellent guest service. \n\nIn the Room Attendant role, you will play an integral part in the guest experience by greeting guests warmly upon interaction and ensuring their rooms are spotless and comfortable. Duties include cleaning guest rooms efficiently within the allotted time frame by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming. You will change bed linens, replace towels and other amenities, and polish furniture and fixtures to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Additionally, you will notify management about necessary repairs and process any guest items left behind according to the hotel’s lost and found policy. This role also requires practicing safe work habits, wearing protective equipment, and adhering to safety regulations such as OSHA and MSDS standards. \n\nRoom Attendants may also be called upon to perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods, highlighting the need for flexibility and teamwork within the department. A key part of this role is to remain aware of guest satisfaction scores and actively contribute to improving overall guest satisfaction. Management may assign other duties as needed, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to the work environment. \n\nThe role offers a clear growth path, starting as a Room Attendant with the potential to advance to Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, and eventually Executive Housekeeper.
