The role of Room Attendant at The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is vital to ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of the guest rooms according to established policies and standards. This full-time position involves performing a variety of housekeeping duties which contribute to the overall guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and orderliness. A Room Attendant’s responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors, as well as vacuuming rooms and emptying trash receptacles. This role requires changing and making beds, which sometimes involves lifting bedspreads weighing up to 40 pounds, and arranging rollaway beds and cribs properly while coordinating with housekeeping colleagues for storage. Attention to detail is paramount, as Room Attendants must perform visual inspections to confirm rooms are immaculate and guest-ready. Employees are expected to respond efficiently and courteously to guest requests, maintain chemical safety procedures, and be vigilant by reporting any maintenance needs or suspicious activities. Physical stamina is required, including the ability to clean up to 16 rooms in an eight-hour shift and to maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 pounds. Effective communication skills are essential for working collaboratively with team members and ensuring overall operational fluidity. This role is suited for individuals who appreciate a dynamic job environment where variety is welcomed and high standards are upheld. Applicants who thrive in an environment that balances professionalism with a friendly work culture will find this position rewarding and fulfilling.
