Job Requirements

  • High school education is not required
  • up to one month related experience or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to handle indoor work environment
  • exposure to and use of cleaning chemicals
  • ability to work in moderate noise levels
  • physical ability to stand and walk more than two-thirds of time
  • ability to sit less than one-third of time
  • ability to use hands extensively and reach with arms frequently
  • ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • ability to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally
  • ability to talk and hear frequently
  • commitment to safety and security procedures
  • willingness to follow prescribed work schedules and attendance policies

Job Duties

  • Replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
  • empty and clean wastebaskets, dishwasher, refrigerator, and ashtrays as appropriate for room type
  • clean bathrooms and replenish bathroom amenities
  • provide necessary linen and room amenities to guests in accordance with brand standards
  • leave the guest room in uniform arrangement as determined by management and ensure the door is closed and locked
  • report any damage, hazards, and needed repairs to management immediately
  • return items found in guest rooms, hallways, or back of the house to Housekeeping department as lost and found with proper documentation
  • responsible for keys signed out for the shift
  • complete any projects or requests developed by management team
  • replace light bulbs if necessary
  • restock cart at end of shift and organize linen closet to prepare for next day
  • perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
  • perform all duties in accordance with brand standards emphasizing meeting or exceeding guest expectations
  • maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and compliance with prescribed work, break and meal periods
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including dress code compliance
  • perform any other duties as requested by supervisor
