Job Requirements

- must be able to lift up to 50lbs continually
- must be able to push, pull and move equipment and furniture
- must be able to work with arms raised above head
- must be able to maneuver a maid cart weighing up to 50lbs
- ability to identify minor dirt and debris
- ability to read written instructions and computer printouts
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles
- ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- strong verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms and sets up cleaning cart with supplies
- cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms and public areas
- replaces towels, soaps and room amenities and restocks literature
- washes all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt
- dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures and wall hangings
- strips and remakes beds with fresh linen
- lifts mattresses to check for soil and cleans underneath beds
- checks closets for cleanliness and restocks guest room supplies
- vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways including under furniture
- inspects door and window locks and reports unsecured or unsafe situations
- inspects room equipment and reports maintenance deficiencies
- secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies
- maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
- performs other duties as assigned
