Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- Up to six months related experience or training
- Ability to read limited two- and three-syllable words
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
- Ability to speak English
- Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use cleaning tools and handle cleaning fluids
- Ability to maintain moderate noise environment
- Ability to recognize emergency situations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures
- Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
- Greet guests with appropriate salutations
- Replace linens on beds and replenish guest room supplies
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- Rearrange furnishings, drapes and room accessories
- Provide necessary linen and amenities to guests according to guest room legend
- Leave guest room in uniform arrangement and ensure door is closed and locked
- Report damage, hazards, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas
- Return items found to Housekeeping department as lost and found with proper documentation
- Responsible for all keys signed out during shift
- Clean all corridors and service areas
- Respond to housekeeping projects or requests from management
- Replace light bulbs if necessary
- Restock cart at end of shift and organize linen closet
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
