Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel environment preferred
- strong attention to detail
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- good physical stamina for cleaning activities
- knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Stock housekeeping bag to ensure cleaning needs, equipment, and amenities are available
- observe knocking procedures upon entering guest rooms
- clean assigned guest rooms thoroughly
- ensure amenities are stocked for each cleaned room
- complete entire housekeeping checklist
- mark clean rooms accurately for supervisor inspection
- report damages or hazards such as burned out bulbs or broken furniture
- secure guest room doors upon exiting
- keep corridors and service areas neat
- turn in lost and found items and guest room keys
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures
- know and apply fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and accidents to management
- maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by management
- assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
