Job Qualifications
- professional and energetic
- high school education or equivalent preferred
- four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required
Job Duties
- sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- clean multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenish supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- clean corridors and stairways
- sweep and scrub bathroom floors
- clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dust furniture, wash walls, and woodwork, wash windows, door panels, and sills
- empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays
- transport trash and waste to disposal area
- replenish bathroom supplies, replace light bulbs
- scrub bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls, and bathroom fan
- complete quality check on the television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- remove any items left behind from room and take to lost and found
- report any maintenance-related problems to the maintenance department
- use supplies and equipment carefully
- wear proper uniform at all times
- achieve score of 90% or higher on room inspections
- greet guests pleasantly and use guest names upon entering occupied rooms
- maintain knowledge of in-house product and local area information
- organize and stock cart properly
- keep commercial area clean and neat
- respond timely to customer needs for housekeeping supplies
- check all vacant rooms daily
- maintain supply room neat and organized
- display team attitude and assist co-workers
