Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and stand for extended periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow established policies and safety procedures
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and prolonged standing
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Basic written communication skills to complete paperwork
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Stock housekeeping bag to ensure that enough cleaning needs, equipment, and amenities are available to properly clean each room
  • Observe knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
  • Clean assigned guest rooms and ensure amenities are stocked
  • Complete entire housekeeping checklist
  • Accurately mark clean rooms to supervisor for inspection
  • Report any damages or hazards in guest rooms such as burned out light bulbs or broken furniture
  • Secure guest room doors upon exiting
  • Keep corridors and service areas neat
  • Turn in all lost and found items and guest room keys
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to management
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
  • Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Perform any related duties requested by management
  • Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
