The Room Attendant position at the Courtyard Dayton located at 7087 Miller Lane, Dayton, OH 45414, is an hourly wage role that demands dedication to maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests. This position is integral to ensuring a positive guest experience by keeping guestrooms spotless and public areas neat, which directly impacts overall guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Room Attendants must thoroughly clean guestrooms according to the company standards, diligently completing all pre-cleaning duties such as preparing guest and cleaning supplies and setting up the housekeeping cart with linens. Responsibilities also include removing all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways, keeping hallways, public areas, and closets clean and vacuumed. Restocking housekeeping carts and replenishing chemical bottles is essential to maintain readiness for the next day. Attendants are expected to report any missing items from rooms, such as irons, boards, or hair dryers, and any maintenance needs promptly to supervisors to ensure prompt resolution.

Handling of items for lost and found according to established standards is part of the job, and Room Attendants must always demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and stand for the entire shift, reflecting the physically demanding nature of the work. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use
  • Replenish chemical bottles
  • Report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Handle items for lost and found according to standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
