The company is currently seeking a uniquely qualified Room Attendant to join its team of hospitality professionals. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall guest satisfaction across the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas. The Room Attendant will be entrusted with ensuring that guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepared daily, hallways and corridors remain pristine, and public spaces such as restrooms and lobbies meet the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning duties, including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture, replenishing supplies, and reporting maintenance issues promptly.

Job Duties

  • Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
  • cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
  • replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
  • cleans corridors and stairways
  • sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
  • cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • empties wastebaskets, and cleans ashtrays
  • transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
  • scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls, and bathroom fan
  • completes quality checks on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
  • removes items left behind to Lost and Found following hotel procedure
  • reports maintenance problems through proper channels
  • uses supplies and equipment carefully
  • wears proper uniform at all times
  • achieves 90% or higher score on room inspections
  • greets guests pleasantly
  • possesses knowledge of hotel products and local area information
  • organizes and stocks housekeeping cart
  • maintains cleanliness of commercial areas
  • responds timely to customer needs
  • uses guest names appropriately
  • checks vacant rooms daily
  • keeps supply room clean and organized
