The role of Room Attendant at Highgate Hotels, specifically at the Courtyard Montgomeryville located at 544 Dekalb Pike, North Wales, PA 19454, is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that guests expect from a top-tier hospitality provider. This hourly position, categorized as other employment type, requires a dedicated individual who can deliver attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests while ensuring the guestrooms and public areas meet the company's rigorous cleanliness standards. The Room Attendant is responsible for thoroughly cleaning guestrooms, performing pre-cleaning preparations such as stocking guest and cleaning supplies and setting up housekeeping carts, and removing all trash and used linens. Additionally, this role involves maintaining hallways, public areas, and storage closets, restocking housekeeping carts with necessary supplies for the following day, replenishing chemical bottles, and reporting any missing items or maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager promptly. The Room Attendant also manages the lost and found items according to established standards and consistently aims to enhance overall guest satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to be on one's feet for an entire shift, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills to engage positively with guests and colleagues.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or pull objects
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
  • Friendly, courteous and service oriented attitude

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use
  • Replenish chemical bottles
  • Report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Handle items for Lost and Found according to the standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
