The Hampton Inn Louisville Downtown, located at 101 E Jefferson St, Louisville, KY 40202, operates under the management of Highgate Hotels and is currently seeking to hire a Room Attendant on an hourly compensation basis. The Room Attendant's principal responsibility is to ensure guestrooms are cleaned to high standards and maintained as attractive, welcoming environments for guests. This role demands a detail-oriented and efficient individual who delivers courteous and attentive service to all hotel guests.
The position involves thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies. The Room Attendant will perform all pre-cleaning preparations such as stocking guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens on housekeeping carts. They are also responsible for removing trash and dirty linens from both guest rooms and hallways to maintain the highest hygiene standards throughout the hotel. Beyond guest rooms, the role requires upkeep of all hallways, public spaces, and storage closets by ensuring these areas remain clean, neat, and vacuumed.
Additionally, maintaining the housekeeping cart with the appropriate cleaning agents and supplies for the next day's use is essential. The position also involves restocking chemical bottles used in cleaning operations and promptly reporting any missing items or maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager. Handling lost and found items according to established standards and procedures is another important duty of this role. Most importantly, the Room Attendant contributes directly to overall guest satisfaction by providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment during each guest's stay at Hampton Inn Louisville Downtown.
This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work standing for extended periods, and the capability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for successful interaction with colleagues and guests alike. Job Duties
- Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
- complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
- remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
- keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
- restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use
- replenish chemical bottles
- report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
- report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
- handle items for lost and found according to standards
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
