The role of Room Attendant is integral to the hotel's operations, focusing on maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms and suites. Reporting to the Front Office Manager or Operations Manager, this position supports the hotel's goal of delivering an exceptional guest experience through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established service standards. Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning and preparing assigned rooms daily, which includes changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and restocking supplies. They must also ensure safety and security by keeping doors closed while cleaning and promptly reporting any missing items or maintenance issues to supervisors.

This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $14 to $18 per hour, based on previous experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or room attendant role preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required for cleaning rooms including lifting and bending
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of service standards guest relations and etiquette
  • Knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests associates and vendors

Job Duties

  • Report to Front Desk at beginning of shift pick up key and return key at end of shift
  • Ability to follow shift checklist and accurately record notes throughout your shift
  • Clean and maintain any and all assigned rooms and suites daily including bed stripping bathroom cleaning vacuuming dusting polishing checking of room lights television spot cleaning and stocking all room supplies
  • Protect guest safety and well-being be courteous to all guests and co-workers
  • Keep all doors closed when cleaning for safety and security purposes
  • Report any items missing from rooms and suites
  • Report all items in need of repair to supervisor and maintain equipment used in work
  • All lost and found are to be taken to the office as soon as they are found and not at the end of one’s shift
  • Vacuum floors clean bathrooms and common areas
  • Stock own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of service standards guest relations and etiquette
  • Must have a knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests associates and vendors
  • Ability to accurately report information
  • Attend required meetings
  • Ability to remain calm and alert especially during emergencies or heavy hotel activity
