The role of Room Attendant at Highgate Hotels, specifically at La Quinta Austin - Mopac North at The Domain in Austin, TX, offers an opportunity to join a dynamic hospitality environment that prioritizes exceptional guest service and high standards of cleanliness. This hourly position is vital to the smooth functioning of the hotel’s housekeeping operations and directly impacts guest satisfaction. A Room Attendant is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of guest rooms, ensuring that every detail meets the company’s standards. Beyond cleaning, the role involves setting up the housekeeping cart, replenishing guest and cleaning supplies, and addressing any maintenance concerns promptly. The attendant also assists with the proper handling of lost and found items and works collaboratively to maintain public areas such as hallways and closets in pristine condition. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
  • Attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day’s use
  • Replenish chemical bottles
  • Report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
  • Handle items for Lost and Found according to standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
