We are currently seeking a Room Attendant to join our housekeeping department. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms to guarantee an outstanding guest experience. The Room Attendant is responsible for a variety of housekeeping duties, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, replenishing amenities, and ensuring that all guest areas meet hotel standards of cleanliness and safety. This position plays a vital role in supporting the overall guest satisfaction by ensuring rooms are spotless, well-stocked, and maintained on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate for this role will be attentive to detail, efficient, and proactive in completing their tasks. Additionally, the Room Attendant must have respect for guest privacy and adhere strictly to hotel protocols and safety regulations. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professional and courteous behavior when interacting with guests and colleagues alike. This position requires physical stamina, as the duties involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting. Job Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment highly desired
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to follow job duties
  • Ability to work varied schedule as necessary including weekends and holidays
  • Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
  • Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions
  • Must be able to push up to 75 pounds, lift and carry up to 25 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels
  • Dust, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces
  • Replenish amenities such as soap, shampoo, water, and coffee
  • Ensure bathrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked
  • Clean kitchen areas and appliances where applicable
  • Check and report any maintenance issues such as lighting, plumbing, or HVAC problems
  • Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items
  • Respect guest privacy and adhere to "Do Not Disturb" protocols
  • Restock housekeeping carts and storage areas maintaining cleanliness and safety
  • Deliver guest requested items to rooms upon request
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and co-workers
  • Maintain accurate room status information on daily assignment sheets
  • Use personal protective equipment as outlined in Safety Data Sheets
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Assist other departments as necessary and maintain good working relationships
