Job Description

Hotel Verdant is a distinguished hospitality establishment located at 500 Main Street, Racine, WI 53403. Known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and quality service, Hotel Verdant offers a welcoming and comfortable environment for travelers and visitors. As a reputable hotel, it blends modern amenities with attentive customer care, ensuring every aspect of a guest's stay is enjoyable and memorable. The property maintains high standards in cleanliness, comfort, and guest relations to uphold its distinguished reputation in the hospitality industry.

The role of a Housekeeper at Hotel Verdant is vital to sustaining these standards. This position involves cleaning rooms and halls, ensuring the hotel's environment remains pristine and inviting. The housekeeper will perform a variety of tasks, including dusting, waxing, polishing, and servicing guest rooms daily according to established hotel procedures. This consistent maintenance directly contributes to guest satisfaction by providing clean, orderly rooms and public spaces. Housekeepers also stock their service carts with necessary supplies, replace linens, and manage waste disposal effectively. The role demands vigilance and attention to detail, as housekeepers report any damages, hazards, or suspicious activities to maintain safety and security.

Duties also extend to managing keys responsibly during shifts, restocking supplies, and assisting the management team with projects or special requests. While the role does not require supervisory responsibilities, it plays a crucial part in creating a friendly and well-organized environment vital to the hotel's daily operations.

Candidates should expect a physically demanding work environment involving frequent standing, walking, lifting, and movement throughout the property. Successful housekeepers will have the ability to communicate in English to interact effectively with guests and apply common sense in following instructions and troubleshooting issues. The position accommodates reasonable adjustments for individuals with disabilities who can perform essential functions. Hotel Verdant aims to maintain a supportive workplace where employees contribute to a safe, clean, and guest-focused atmosphere, fostering both employee and guest satisfaction. This employment opportunity suits individuals seeking a role in hospitality that involves active, engaging work within a respected hotel setting, with clear expectations and supportive management.
