Job Description

The role being offered is that of a Housekeeper responsible for achieving and maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the guest rooms of the hotel. This role is critical in ensuring that every guest room is spotless, sanitary, well-stocked with fresh linens and amenities, and free of maintenance issues before new guests arrive. The Housekeeper will meticulously vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, polish, disinfect, deodorize, and replenish all room fixtures and furnishings. This includes the detailed cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms, bedrooms, furniture, carpets, mirrors, curtains, appliances, and structural elements.

Additionally, the Housekeeper will be required to remove trash and debris, manage linens professionally by stripping beds and making new ones, and replenish all supplies to maintain an inviting atmosphere. They will also routinely inspect rooms for maintenance problems such as plumbing or electrical issues and report these promptly to the housekeeping office for resolution. The role demands working safely with cleaning chemicals while consistently complying with health and safety regulations.

Furthermore, this position includes responsibilities for managing 'Pass Keys,' maintaining and cleaning all equipment used during shifts, and completing proper reports regarding room status and any discovered issues. The Housekeeper will play an important role in promoting a fun and respectful atmosphere for all casino guests and employees by setting a positive example of mutual respect, dignity, and integrity. Communication and organizational skills are essential to success in this role due to the need to coordinate with supervisors and other team members.

This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License and the ability to meet physical demands that include lifting up to 100 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks. Physical and sensory abilities such as close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary. Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED preferred, and experience in housekeeping or hospitality is advantageous. Job Duties

  • Vacuums, sweeps, scrubs, mops, and cleans carpet and flooring in guest rooms
  • dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in guest rooms
  • scrubs, disinfects and deodorizes showers, toilets, washbasins, and other bathroom and vanity fixtures
  • removes trash and debris from guest rooms
  • strips beds, collects dirty linens, and makes beds with fresh linens
  • replenishes linens, amenities and other supplies in guest rooms
  • works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations
  • reports items found in guest rooms to supervisor and/or properly tags lost and found items
  • routinely inspects guest rooms for maintenance needs such as burned-out light bulbs, plumbing or electrical problems, carpentry needs, or other special problems and reports these to housekeeping office for proper resolution
  • takes responsibility for a Pass Key during assigned shift by signing out and turning in to housekeeping management at end of shift
  • maintains and cleans all equipment used throughout shift
  • completes proper reports
  • replenishes linens, amenities, and other supplies in work station
