Renaissance Baton Rouge is a prestigious hotel located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, renowned for its seamless blend of Southern hospitality, upscale decor, and convenient amenities. Situated just 15 miles from Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, the hotel offers an ideal location for both business and leisure travelers. Guests enjoy easy access to prominent destinations such as the Mall of Louisiana, Perkins Rowe, Louisiana State University, and the Country Club of Louisiana. The hotel provides a perfect retreat through its spacious and modern rooms and suites, which are equipped with luxurious bedding, flat-panel TVs, and mini-refrigerators for added comfort. The hotel is currently seeking full-time Guest Room Attendants, who play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of guestrooms to provide guests with an exceptional stay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning guestrooms according to strict standards, ensuring guest satisfaction through diligent housekeeping practices. The role requires individuals to be attentive, courteous, and efficient, focusing on delivering high-quality service in a friendly and professional manner. Key responsibilities include preparing housekeeping carts with supplies and linens, removing trash and dirty linens, restocking cleaning carts, replenishing cleaning chemicals, and addressing any maintenance or lost and found issues promptly. The Guest Room Attendant must also respect guest privacy by cleaning rooms with the door closed unless otherwise requested by the guest.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks and lifting required weights
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to follow safety and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in all situations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or room attendant experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Physically able to perform cleaning duties and lift necessary items
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees at all times
  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • Keep hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed if applicable
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next days use
  • Replenish chemical bottles
  • Clean room with the door closed according to standards unless requested otherwise by guest
  • Report all missing items from room such as irons, boards, hair dryers to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
  • Handle items for Lost and Found according to the standards
