Job Description
Hotel Heron, located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, is a chic 134-room boutique hotel that offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities. Originally opened in 1926 as the George Mason Hotel, it has been thoughtfully adapted to combine the iconic inn with a contemporary building that features an elevated event space and guest rooms. This unique establishment boasts a signature ground floor restaurant serving hearth-inspired Mid-Atlantic cuisine, a cozy craft cocktail bar, and an open-air seasonal rooftop bar offering unparalleled views of the Potomac River. With Washington, DC just minutes away, Hotel Heron serves as a gateway for travelers to explore beyond the usual tourist attractions, inviting guests to experience Alexandria's rich legacy and vibrant innovation. The hotel also offers a state-of-the-art fitness center and versatile meeting spaces designed for socializing, coworking, and relaxation. It creates a welcoming environment that brings together world travelers and local residents while showcasing local businesses and artisans, thereby fostering a strong community connection.
The Rooftop F&B Manager role at Hotel Heron is a vital leadership position reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage. The manager will lead a dedicated team of hospitality professionals in a dynamic, fast-paced rooftop bar environment situated in a historic building. This role demands a passionate leader who thrives in managing the organized chaos of a busy rooftop venue hosting concerts, DJs, and various exciting events throughout the season. The ideal candidate is someone who not only ensures guests receive an unmatched experience but also values the work and input of their team members, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and progressive workplace culture. This individual is adept at multitasking, highly organized, and maintains a positive professional demeanor even under high pressure. By inspiring confidence, respect, and enthusiasm among staff, they will elevate the guest experience and embody the Aparium Hospitality Services' commitment to excellence and inclusion. This is an exempt salaried position that offers opportunities to work in a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity and collaboration, contributing to the memorable experiences that define Hotel Heron's reputation.
