Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous experience as a host server or in a customer service role preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of the English language
  • Ability to walk bend and lift light objects menus etc throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning
  • Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines
  • Able to work holidays weekends and any day shift
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly welcoming attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to handle guest inquiries complaints and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
  • Basic knowledge of reservation systems and or point-of-sale POS systems is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage reservations and efficiently assign guests to tables based on availability and preferences
  • Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding reservations menu items and wait times
  • Maintain the flow of the dining area by keeping track of open occupied and reserved tables
  • Provide guests with accurate wait times and ensure they are comfortable while waiting
  • Ensure all guests are seated in a timely manner accommodating special requests when possible
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure a clean organized and welcoming environment
