Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years progressive culinary experience
  • Two years experience as a Sous Chef
  • Ability to lead kitchen teams effectively
  • Strong budget and labor management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive culinary experience
  • At least two years in a Sous Chef role
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Experience managing culinary budgets and labor costs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production and preparation
  • Manage private parties and special events catering
  • Supervise stewarding, purchasing, and receiving functions
  • Ensure culinary staff create menu items according to high quality standards
  • Lead and maintain a cohesive culinary team
  • Manage culinary budget with attention to labor, scheduling, and overtime
  • Operate the kitchen effectively in absence of Executive Chef
