Established with a vision to provide guests with a combination of rock-inspired music, vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional culinary offerings, Rock & Brews has steadily grown into a recognized brand in the hospitality industry. The company prioritizes integrity, high standards, and guest satisfaction, making it a preferred workplace for individuals seeking a challenging yet rewarding environment within the food service sector.

The role of Lead Cook at Rock & Brews is a pivotal position that requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen. Starting at $21.25 per hour, this position demands flexibility to work various shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. As the Lead Cook, you will assist the Back-of-House management team by leading and managing Rock & Brews cooks, ensuring that every dish meets the company’s rigorous standards for quality, taste, and presentation. Your responsibilities will include assigning work, monitoring food preparation, enforcing portion controls, minimizing waste, and upholding strict sanitation protocols.

Working at Rock & Brews as a Lead Cook means you will play an essential role in supporting not only the culinary team but also the overall mission and values of the company. The position combines culinary expertise with leadership skills, as you will guide kitchen staff through training, performance evaluations, and coaching to maintain a consistent, top-tier dining experience for every guest. You will also have opportunities to contribute to menu development by assisting in creating new recipes, determining costs, and publishing updated menu specifications. This aspect allows you to influence the culinary direction of the venue, helping Rock & Brews stay innovative and guest-focused.

Additionally, the Lead Cook is expected to manage inventory and control stock rotation to ensure efficient kitchen operations and reduce waste. Maintaining a safe, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment is imperative, both for health compliance and operational efficiency. The kitchen environment is physically demanding and requires stamina, with team members frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and handle kitchen tools and equipment. The role includes exposure to noise, heat from ovens and cooktops, and cold from freezer areas, all of which require adherence to safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment.

This opportunity at Rock & Brews offers professional growth through participation in their Culinary Academy, which the Lead Cook is expected to complete within 12 months. The position also requires obtaining ServSafe certification within 90 days, underpinning the company’s commitment to food safety standards. The job is ideal for candidates with intermediate to advanced cooking skills, at least two years of related experience, and preferably some supervisory experience. Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with both guests and team members in a professional and approachable manner are essential.

If you are passionate about food quality and guest service, possess organizational and leadership skills, and want to work in a lively and innovative restaurant environment, the Lead Cook position at Rock & Brews offers an exciting career path.
