Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 3 year recent neonatal and/or pediatric ICU and/or pediatric emergency department experience or current neonatal/pediatric transport experience
- Current license to practice professional nursing in State of Texas
- Current CPR
- Current PALS or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Current NRP or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Current ACLS or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Current TNCC or department approved equivalent or must obtain within 12 months of hire
- Current STABLE or obtain within 6 months of hire
- Current EMT or paramedic license in the State of Texas or must obtain within 12 months of hire
- Current advanced certification in area of practice and/or as approved by CCMC or must obtain within 24 months of hire
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide nursing care during neonatal and pediatric transport
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists and paramedics to ensure patient safety
- Demonstrate critical thinking and sound judgement throughout transport
- Maintain up-to-date certifications relevant to neonatal and pediatric care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Cook Children’s Health Care System
- Adapt to varying shifts and transport settings
