Job Requirements

  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or recognized compact licensure
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
  • Minimum 1 year acute care experience

Job Duties

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes
  • Perform administration of prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response
  • Notify provider and intervene as needed for unintended medication responses
  • Conduct complete patient evaluations before procedures including history and diagnostic reviews
  • Ensure patients and families understand procedures and peri-operative processes
  • Obtain and witness consent forms
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices such as SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals, AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including active listening and escalation of care concerns
