The role of Assistant Local Manager is a dynamic leadership position that supports the Local Manager in delivering excellent operations and outstanding guest experiences. As an Assistant Local Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead, motivate, and develop a local team while working collaboratively to achieve personal, professional, and company goals. This position involves various responsibilities, including assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, inventory management, equipment setup, and troubleshooting technical issues. A key part of the role also involves engaging directly with guests, helping them capture and preserve their memories through photography souvenirs, although prior photography experience is not required. The Assistant Local Manager acts as a role model by reinforcing company policies and core values while ensuring that all team members understand and follow guidelines. You will also be called upon to resolve customer concerns promptly and efficiently to maintain exemplary service standards. Throughout the season, this position requires flexibility to work during peak retail hours, like evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to work a minimum of 20 hours weekly or as needed. Job Requirements

  • at least 18 years of age
  • previous retail or assistant manager experience preferred
  • photography experience preferred
  • ability to lift and carry equipment up to 10-25 pounds
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • ability to stand, walk and perform guided choreographed movement independently

Job Duties

  • promote a positive, collaborative environment and maintain core values and policies
  • assist local manager with preparations for opening day including hiring completion, inventories, equipment setup/testing, staff scheduling and training, and learning proper opening/closing procedures
  • take photos and provide guests with memorable souvenirs
  • address and resolve customer concerns or service failures to ensure optimal guest experiences
  • lead by example and reinforce policies and procedures established by senior management
  • troubleshoot technical issues and escalate to it or local management when needed
  • assist local manager with administrative tasks such as inventory, scheduling, training, and recruiting
  • perform all other duties as assigned
