Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Texas EMT Paramedic certification
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • PALS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 150 pounds (300 with assistance)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and crawl across uneven terrain
  • Capability to handle high-stress situations with flashing lights, loud noises, extreme temperatures, low light, or confined spaces

Job Qualifications

  • Texas DSHS Paramedic certification
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • PALS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Proven proficiency in medical equipment
  • Strong clinical acuity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compassionate with critical thinking abilities

Job Duties

  • Administer emergency medical care and first aid
  • Safely operate ambulance to locations as directed
  • Coordinate with first responders and medical staff
  • Assess and prioritize patient treatment
  • Immobilize and transport patients safely
  • Operate life support and diagnostic equipment
  • Maintain documentation and reports using ePCR software
  • Sanitize ambulance and equipment post-transport
  • Maintain vehicle and report equipment malfunctions
  • Adhere to medical protocols, health, and safety standards
  • Engage in continuous training and skill enhancement
