Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Texas EMT Paramedic certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- PALS certification within 90 days of hire
- Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to lift/carry up to 150 pounds (300 with assistance)
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and crawl across uneven terrain
- Capability to handle high-stress situations with flashing lights, loud noises, extreme temperatures, low light, or confined spaces
Job Qualifications
- Texas DSHS Paramedic certification
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification within 90 days of hire
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Proven proficiency in medical equipment
- Strong clinical acuity
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate with critical thinking abilities
Job Duties
- Administer emergency medical care and first aid
- Safely operate ambulance to locations as directed
- Coordinate with first responders and medical staff
- Assess and prioritize patient treatment
- Immobilize and transport patients safely
- Operate life support and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain documentation and reports using ePCR software
- Sanitize ambulance and equipment post-transport
- Maintain vehicle and report equipment malfunctions
- Adhere to medical protocols, health, and safety standards
- Engage in continuous training and skill enhancement
