The Retail Warehouse Inventory Associate - Driver is a critical part-time position within WIS, offering a starting wage range of $16.00 to $19.00 per hour. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including traditional and non-traditional hours, and the opportunity for increased earnings based on availability. The Inventory Associate - Driver is entrusted with directing the warehouse inventory associates during manufacturing and warehouse inventories across various locations. The role encompasses not only leadership and inventory management but also the responsibility of safely transporting team members to and from inventory events. Drivers must adhere to traffic laws and WIS’s specific driver safety criteria while performing vehicle inspections, maintenance, and daily cleaning. This position demands a high level of professionalism and dedication to meeting company goals and objectives, ensuring the satisfaction of both customers and team members. The Inventory Associate - Driver must exhibit exemplary customer service skills, capable of managing inventory plans, directing associates on reconciliation processes, and maintaining clear and timely communication. The candidate will also be expected to demonstrate familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts, as well as warehouse bin labeling systems. In addition, the position entails physical requirements including prolonged standing, repetitive motions, frequent squatting or kneeling, and the ability to lift items up to 25 pounds. The role is essential in upholding WIS’s commitment to operational excellence, safety, and teamwork, playing a vital part in the company’s continued growth and success.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Willingness to travel with paid overnights included
  • Preferred prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license within the state of residence for a minimum of 36 consecutive months
  • A minimum of three years proven driving experience
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment investigative consumer report, pre-employment screening and MVR check in accordance with company standards
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and how to navigate to assigned locations

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Preferred prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Exhibits strong teamwork experience in a customer service setting
  • Familiarity with warehouse heavy equipment and labeling systems
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license within the state of residence for a minimum of 36 consecutive months

Job Duties

  • Completes WIS count reconciliation processes and directs customers on completing tablet verifications
  • Provides direction to warehouse associates, performs first counts, performs first count verifications on warehouse associates and executes the inventory plan
  • Exhibits exemplary customer service including professional and timely communication, a sense of urgency, and meeting expected service levels
  • Performs safe transportation of team members to and from inventory events adhering to traffic laws and driver safety requirements
  • Conducts and completes vehicle inspections, maintenance, and daily cleaning
  • Demonstrates familiarity with warehouse heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts
  • Ensures adherence to warehouse bin locations and labeling systems used in warehouses
