The coordinator will engage directly with clients to demonstrate craft projects, perform face painting, and manage additional party elements such as goody bags and balloons, all aligned with company standards. Flexibility and the ability to adapt plans based on client feedback are critical to ensuring event success and customer satisfaction. Beyond event management, the coordinator assists customers in finding products, provides fast and friendly checkout assistance, and helps promote the company's rewards and credit card programs. Operational responsibilities include unloading trucks, merchandising, maintaining store recovery standards, supporting shrink and safety programs, and participating in store cleanliness efforts. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a positive demeanor, making each customer interaction memorable. Additionally, the coordinator will be cross-trained in custom framing sales and production, broadening their expertise within Michaels’ offerings. Physical requirements involve standing for extended periods, moving throughout the store, and performing tasks that include lifting heavy boxes and accessing elevated shelves safely. The work environment primarily consists of a public retail store with climate-controlled areas, occasional outdoor assignments, and variable hours, including nights, weekends, and early mornings. Job Duties
