This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of events within the store, including children’s birthday parties, craft classes, and other creative workshops. Event Coordinators are responsible for creating a fun, stress-free, and engaging atmosphere for guests, ranging in age from 4 to 94. They are tasked with managing all aspects of event execution, from client communication and administrative duties to creative instruction and event setup and breakdown. Additionally, this role involves helping customers with their shopping needs, providing immediate and friendly checkout experiences, and maintaining operational store standards such as unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and supporting store safety and cleanliness protocols.
Beyond event facilitation, this position emphasizes strong customer engagement through educating guests about the company’s Reward programs, Private Label Credit Cards, and Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys. Event Coordinators also contribute to omni-channel operations by supporting Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in event coordination or retail customer service
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
- ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and climbing ladders
- must be able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
- ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment
- comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements

Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- engage with clients of all ages by fostering a fun and creative environment
- demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
- facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards
- communicate effectively with clients and store team members
- complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
- adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
- set up, break down, and clean event areas maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
- assist customers with shopping and locating products
- provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
- promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
- educate customers about Voice of Customer surveys
- support omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS
- unload trucks and participate in stocking and planogram processes
- maintain merchandise recovery and perform store in stock optimization
- support shrink and safety programs
- adhere to company policies, standards, and compliance requirements
- interact respectfully and positively with team members and customers
- cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
- participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
- perform other duties as assigned
