Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in event coordination or retail customer service
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
  • ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and climbing ladders
  • must be able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • willingness to support company values and promote a positive workplace culture

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • excellent people skills
  • good communication skills including written, verbal, nonverbal, and listening
  • organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
  • retail and/or customer service experience
  • ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
  • energetic and enthusiastic personality

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage with clients of all ages by fostering a fun and creative environment
  • demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • communicate effectively with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • set up, break down, and clean event areas maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
  • assist customers with shopping and locating products
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
  • educate customers about Voice of Customer surveys
  • support omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS
  • unload trucks and participate in stocking and planogram processes
  • maintain merchandise recovery and perform store in stock optimization
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to company policies, standards, and compliance requirements
  • interact respectfully and positively with team members and customers
  • cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
  • perform other duties as assigned
