Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience
  • Must be available to work peak days and varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform retail duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and company standards
  • Ability to handle multiple operational tasks efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering sales, exceptional customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting
  • Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment
  • Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture
  • Passion for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent
  • Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly
  • Ability to provide in the moment coaching to associates
  • Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively
  • Must be available to work peak days and times, including varied shifts of evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent including the store leadership team
  • Set and reinforce clear and concise performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates through effective and fair leadership
  • Responsible for owning and delegating leadership tasks to address customer experience, vendor relationship, or maintenance issues
  • Partner with the store leadership team to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities
  • Implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize the business and bring the product story to life
  • Perform opening and closing routines including execution of bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interpret/disseminate company directives
  • Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work
  • Provide individual and team performance feedback
  • Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and maintaining a selling focus
  • Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences through demonstrating and modelling selling behaviors rooted in company values and elevated product knowledge
  • Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing product information, demoing products, and making personalized recommendations
  • Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience
  • Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates
  • Ensure all store positions meet physical activity requirements such as standing, walking, reaching, lifting, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling
  • Consistently provide the safest, cleanest, and most engaging experience by adhering to all safety standards and expectations
  • Maintain company values, policies, and procedures
