The cashier role involves directly handling transactions, including computing bills, processing payments via cash, checks, or credit cards, and issuing receipts. Cashiers must ensure accuracy by balancing cash drawers and preparing transaction reports while adhering strictly to cashier standards. Additionally, cashiers promote in-store specials and Summit Speed Card applications, assist in merchandising duties, answer phones, and maintain general housekeeping to contribute to a welcoming shopping environment.
Customer service representatives play an equally essential role by assisting customers with returns, stocking shelves, setting up promotional displays, marking merchandise prices, and helping customers with merchandise handling. These representatives also greet customers, check packages and receipts, provide directional assistance, and ensure the retail location is free from missing parts.
