This position is for a Make the Connection Host, a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth functioning and positive energy within the establishment. The employment type is typically hourly with a flexible schedule including mornings, mid-day, nights, weekends, and holidays, offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The Make the Connection Host acts as the first point of contact for guests. This role requires greeting and seating guests promptly, managing phone inquiries, and supporting front-of-house operations. The host is responsible for ensuring that guests feel welcomed through courteous and respectful interactions while supporting fellow team members to foster a collaborative workplace. Duties also involve processing to-go orders and transactions, maintaining cleanliness and order in the lobby and marketplace areas, and assisting with food preparation and packaging activities. Knowledge of the menu, current promotions, and the ability to educate guests on ingredients is essential, along with adhering to PCI compliance standards for secure handling of payments. The role supports operations such as cash handling, register management, and assisting the bakery team with oven duties and prep work. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Valid food handlers card if required
  • Ability to manage transactions accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Enhance the guest experience with a friendly, helpful, and respectful attitude
  • Function as a host by greeting and seating guests and answering phones
  • Support to process to go orders and transactions
  • Pack food items, roll silverware, make coffee, fill beverage cups and assist to clear dishes
  • Maintain clean and orderly lobby, checkout, marketplace and bathroom areas
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the menu and current promotions and educate guests on menu items
  • Follow proper cash handling policies and maintain PCI compliance
  • Assist baker with oven duties, prep, pack and store baked items
  • Promote teamwork and uphold company standards and procedures
  • Communicate efficiently with team members and leaders
  • Be dependable to work a flexible schedule
