Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Read and understand employment policies and safety procedures in English
- Able to stand for at least two consecutive hours
- Capable of lifting at least 25 pounds
- Able to perform physical activities including stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level
- Comfortable using computers, handheld equipment, and cash register technology
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate sales register and handle electronic devices
- Comfortable with reaching sales targets and working in a team environment
- Basic understanding of merchandise and promotions
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and establish personal connections
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms
- Stay informed about new arrivals, promotions, and sales goals to confidently educate customers
- Operate cash registers and process sales transactions accurately
- Encourage and assist customers in joining Macy's Loyalty program and opening credit accounts
- Collaborate with team members to support store operations and deliver excellent service
