We are a leading retail store dedicated to providing an exceptional shopping experience to all our customers through our CHEF'STORE brand. Our store operates with flexible hours from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Sunday, to meet the varying needs of our customers and business. With a starting pay rate of $21.30 per hour, we offer competitive compensation and a workplace that values dedication and customer service.\n\nThis role is critical in maintaining smooth operations at the front end and sales floor of the store. You will be expected to engage directly with customers, providing them with fast, easy, and efficient service while ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the store environment. Your responsibilities involve handling cash accurately at the point of sale, stocking and arranging merchandise, and participating in inventory and price management activities. Experience in freight handling is a plus, reflecting the physical demands and operational nature of this position.\n\nThe role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and customer focus. The successful candidate will be required to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, demonstrating adaptability. You will be handling multiple tasks such as transaction processing, inventory replenishment, product labeling, and safety maintenance with the aid of tools including handheld scanners, scales, and computer software like Microsoft Word and Excel. This position also requires adherence to all safety protocols and proactive reporting of potential hazards.\n\nPhysically, the position requires continuous standing and frequent walking, alongside lifting of various weights up to 100 lbs occasionally, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing as necessary in a retail environment that can be subject to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
Must possess basic computer skills
Must have cash handling experience
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally
Ability to stand continuously and walk frequently during shift
Must be able to operate reach trucks and pallet jacks
Must adhere to store safety policies and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers

Job Qualifications

Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF’STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store’s customers
Perform sales and cash functions in the POS in an efficient and accurate manner including scanning merchandise and weighing products
Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout including visual inspection for product tampering
Perform duties as receipt checker verifying cart content versus purchases as customers leave the store
Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shift
Ensure a continuing focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage by assisting customers to find products and informing them of services
Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining and stocking shelves while ensuring proper rotation and product quality audits
Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled including blaster tagging and catch weight labels
Replenish sales floor daily by down stocking freight from top stock in accordance with FIFO
Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software
Assist with price changes as directed by Pricing Lead and Store Management
Participate in inventory and cycle count process as needed
Ensure that the facility is well maintained and safe by following safety policies and practices and notifying management of issues
Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, front end, restrooms, parking lot and entry area
Gather carts from parking areas ensuring all are clean and operable
Perform other duties as assigned by Store Management
