This job opening at Chef'Store is for a full-time Front End Associate position with a competitive starting pay of $21.622 per hour. The role requires an individual to work 30-40 hours weekly, including weekends and holidays, with the flexibility to cover opening and closing shifts. As a Front End Associate, the individual will play a critical role in delivering a positive and efficient shopping experience by assisting customers, handling sales transactions, supporting sales floor operations, and ensuring the store environment is clean and safe. This position demands a solution-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Associate will be responsible for greeting customers, managing point-of-sale functions accurately, conducting cart-to-cart transfers at checkout, and performing receipt checks to verify purchases. Stocking duties include receiving inventory, maintaining organized shelves, labeling products correctly, and adhering to proper stock rotation procedures. Safety and cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, parking lot, and store entry areas are also within the job scope, requiring frequent engagement with cleaning equipment and adherence to safety policies.

Physical demands for the role include continuous standing, walking, lifting, and carrying of various weights ranging from 1 to over 100 pounds, occasional climbing or balancing, and frequent bending and twisting. The job necessitates proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, alongside proprietary software used by the company. Candidates should have prior retail experience, particularly in cashiering or stocking, and preferably in retail selling or customer service. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience
Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Ability to work opening and closing shifts
Must be able to perform physical activities including standing and walking continuously
Ability to lift and carry weights up to and over 100 lbs
Basic computer proficiency
Cash handling experience
Strong customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEFSTORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the stores customers
Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately including scanning merchandise and weighing products
Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout with visual inspection for product tampering
Perform duties as receipt checker verifying cart content vs. purchases as customers leave the store
Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shift
Assist in receiving inventory shipments and stocking shelves while ensuring proper rotation and product quality audits
Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled including blaster tagging and catch weight labels
Replenish sales floor daily and stock according to FIFO
Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and proprietary software as needed
Ensure the facility is well maintained and safe by following safety policies and practices
Ensure cleanliness of sales floor, front end, restrooms, parking lot, and store entry area
Gather carts from parking lot and cart corrals ensuring all are clean and operable
Assist with price changes and participate in inventory and cycle count processes as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by store management
