The position requires flexibility to work any day from Monday through Sunday, depending on business needs, within the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This position is essentially a front-line retail role encompassing front-end cashier duties, sales floor management, stocking responsibilities, and customer service. The successful candidate will deliver an impeccable CHEF'TORE experience by building and maximizing relationships with customers, utilizing tools and behaviors learned through specialized training known as the CHEF'TORE Way. Key tasks include performing sales and cash functions efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper product barcode scanning, and handling receipt checking. The role also involves participating in cart transfers, store opening and closing processes, and assisting with inventory and product quality maintenance.

On the sales floor and stocking front, candidates will engage with customers to help them find products and inform them of available services. They will assist in receiving deliveries, stock, and organize shelves following best practices like FIFO (first in, first out) to maintain product freshness. Tagging unscannable merchandise, applying labels, and assisting in inventory counts are part of the daily activities. The position demands vigilance to ensure merchandise is visually appealing and easily accessible, maintaining a neat sales floor environment.

Customer courtesy and safety are integral aspects of this role. Duties include maintaining a clean and safe store environment, including restrooms, sales floor, parking lot, and entry areas. The person may also manage carts in parking areas and ensure that store safety policies are followed and reported to management if need be.

The work environment consists of a retail store setting exposed to variable weather conditions and noise levels, requiring candidates to be physically active; standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing are regular duties. Physical loads may range from light to very heavy, with safety and proper physical techniques being important. Candidates should be prepared for varying temperatures within the store.

The role prefers candidates with at least 6-12 months of retail cashier or stocking experience, with a preference for those having one year or more of retail sales or customer service experience. A high school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, logical thinking, basic mathematical aptitude, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and in teams. Basic computer skills and cash handling experience are necessary. The work schedule is flexible and includes holidays and weekends to meet business demands.
