Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety procedures in English
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle electronic devices such as cash registers and other technology
- Capability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand for extended periods, and reach with arms and hands
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Good close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- Positive attitude with a passion for sales and customer service
- Ability to maintain reliability and punctuality in attendance
Job Duties
- Greet customers with warmth and engage in friendly, personal conversations to create lasting customer relationships
- Understand customer needs and provide personalized product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms throughout the day
- Update signage and pricing to reflect promotions and merchandise moves
- Achieve daily and weekly sales goals through smart selling techniques and customer engagement
- Promote Macy's Loyalty program and explain membership benefits to customers
- Collaborate with team members to support store operations and ensure a positive work environment
