Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Good understanding of products being sold and the ability to provide expert guidance to customers
- comfortable communication with customers virtually, via phone, and in person
- ability to build relationships with customers, achieve sales goals, and participate in selling events
- proficiency in using point of sale technology and applications
- self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends and stay current with training
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
- ability to collaborate with the team to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer experiences
Job Duties
- Greet and connect with customers in a friendly and genuine way
- recommend products by asking questions to identify customer needs and inspiring purchases with newness and relevant products
- offer options and solutions to customers to complete the sale
- wrap-up the moment to close out the customer’s shopping journey, celebrating their purchases and sharing in their excitement
- master store products, services, loyalty programs, and Macy’s sales systems and use knowledge to help customers find what they need and suggest additional items
- maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms
- deliver optimal merchandise execution presentation, ensure accurate merchandise pricing, and process markdowns in a timely and accurate manner
- foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
